Round Britain and Ireland Race: 6th June 2010

On Saturday 21st June, powerboats of all different shapes and sizes will race from Portsmouth to Plymouth in the first leg of this grueling 10-day race.
In all, nine ports will be visited as the boats make their way around the country, before eventually returning to Portsmouth on 30 June.

The Isle of Wight Festival is a music festival which takes place annually on the Isle of Wight, England. Many notable artists have performed since its revival including The Rolling Stones, Muse, Donovan, Ray Davies, Robert Plant, David Bowie, Manic Street Preachers, The Who, R.E.M., Coldplay, The Proclaimers, Bryan Adams and The Police.

The world’s largest and most famous yachting race, the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, took place on the 28th June 2008 in Cowes, Isle of Wight, England. Nearly 1,600 boats competed over the 50-mile course around the Isle of Wight in a race that saw some of the biggest names in the sailing world competing with weekend sailors and family crews.

Following last years great success, the BPRC are pleased to announce that The Cowes Powerboat Festival 2009 will include not only Marathon Boats but V24, Honda and Class 3 to join us in this great weekend of Powerboat Racing. The fesitval incudes The Cowes Torquay Cowes race, The Cowes Poole Cowes race, The V24 and Class 3 boats racing for their overall RYA National championship placings and The Honda Formula 4-stroke boats will enjoy heats 7 and 8 in their series. |

The Bestival is a music festival on the Isle of Wight, England. It is held annually in late summer since 2004 in a small country park called 'Robin Hill'. The event is organized by Rob da Bank and is an off-shoot of his Sunday Best record label and club nights. The Isle of Wight was chosen for many reasons as the site of the Bestival, primarily due to its notable natural beauty. It is also known that the Isle of Wight holds more carnivals per capita than anywhere else in the United Kingdom.

The Little Britain Challenge Cup is a sailing regatta for the construction industry. Since the first event in 1988 the Little Britain Challenge Cup has grown from 3 to 250 entries and to include more than 3000 competitors, making it the biggest regatta in the UK after Cowes Week.
